On February 26, 2009, select viewers around the world watched the first ever Learjet 85 program briefing via the Internet. This personal update was presented by David Coleal, Vice President and General Manager, Learjet, Ralph Acs, Vice President, Learjet 85 and Mike Fahey, Vice President Learjet Sales Worldwide.
The webcast provided viewers with program, product and manufacturing updates on the largest, fastest and longest-range Learjet ever. Highlights included key achievements such as material selection, fuselage progress and wing advancements as well as manufacturing updates and the responsibilities of the Montreal, Wichita and Queretaro facilities. Mr. Coleal also covered the training campaign being put in motion for the Learjet 85 program.
In addition, key Learjet 85 program enablers were addressed, including design activities being shared across international sites, commonality and flexibility across partner sites, use of the Bombardier Composite Advisory Council, and involvement of world-class partners.
